The Ashmolean Museum in Oxford is the oldest museum in the UK. The brief was to create an advertising campaign for an event to bring in more younger visitors.
The event 'Shogaki in the Shadows' was born. Based upon traditional Japanese paintings and artefacts that the museum houses, a Shogaki is a meeting for artists to sell art, drink and socialise. I believed this would be the perfect setting for an event to take place to attract younger interested visitors.
It was my job to create the branding campaign for this event. I wanted it to reflect simple Japanese design, minimal colours which would also modernise the traditional prints which I would incorporate. Below is the logo I designed to run through all the branding, creating a more cohesive campaign.
I also produced two posters, a ticket, Instagram posts and a kimono leaflet. Scroll down for more!
